The next part of our mix series welcomes the British producer – Acre.

Acre is a Manchester based producer with an ear for an eclectic palette of sounds, preferring to opt out of subscribing to a strict guideline of genres his productions can be loosely described as UK bass music with influences spanning Techno, Garage, Jungle, Electronica and Grime. If you have ever had the pleasure of attending Manchester’s very own Project 13, at which he holds residency, or graced the infamous Hit & Run at which he makes frequent appearances you will know his DJ sets also reflect this openness towards experimentation as he will often demonstrate by progressing through Techno to Dubstep to Juke and ending on a little bit of Jungle. He is definitely not afraid to break boundaries and play a verity of somewhat unexpected music, but don’t be fooled into thinking he is constantly all over the place, when the mood strikes him he can draw on his obsessive tendency to collect music to provide an in depth foray into the genre of his choosing.

We are offering two different types of tents for this years Outlook Festival.

You will need to PRINT and bring your ticket with you to the Customer Information Point located by the Beach Stage. This point is open 24 hours from 26th August – 11th September.

If you order a 2-man Tent and wish to return it for the £10 hire deposit please ensure you pack your tent properly (with all items included) and return it to the Customer Information Point by midday 11th September latest. All confirmed returns will receive their refund by 30th September back in to the account you paid with.

If you are not partaking in the hire scheme please either take your tent home with you, or leave at one of the charity drop-off points; help us keep the campsite clean and tidy.

Thomas Mason AKA Moony is an ambitious young producer and DJ from the south coast, who already has some fantastic releases under his belt. Having started to DJ at 11, producing soon became a fascination. By the age of 16 he was regularly creating his own beats; by 20, he was releasing records and Djing across the UK.

Moony’s sound is for dance floors and he has quickly established a reputation within the UK bass scene for his great production skills. With his stylish and soulful blend of bass driven music this young man stand out from the crowd, both a DJ and a producer his roots are deep in UK Garage but his diverse taste for music Moony draws inspiration from far and wide and incorporates influences from House, Grime, Bassline, UK Funky and Dubstep.

Outlook Festival have teamed up with Point Blank Music School, SoundCloud and a host of other exciting peeps to offer aspiring producers a platform for their music and the opportunity to win an all expenses paid trip to this year’s Outlook Festival in Croatia  - Europe’s Biggest Bass Music and Sound System Culture Festival - along with a heap of other goodies!

Point Blank is a music production school based in Hoxton, East London whose recent students include several artists on the Outlook 2013 lineup; Madam X, B.Traits, Decibel … as well the likes of AlunaGeorge and Claude VonStroke. Recent guests to the school include Goldie, Sway, Trevino, Plastician and many more.

As well as the physical prizes detailed above the winner will also receive a substantial level of exposure through the Outlook and Point Blank networks in the form of announcement post and follow up piece.

We are very happy to welcome the amazing Madam X who is the next artist on our exclusive mix series.

Madam X is at the forefront of the UK underground scene pushing some of the most forward-thinking, innovative music to come out of the Bass circuit.

She’s championed the likes of KARMA KID, TCTS, MARIBOU STATE, QUEENIE, COSMIC REVENGE and more, to push the sounds of Grime, Garage, UK Funky & Forward-thinking Bass.

Part of the BBC Radio 1XTRA family she covers the late night specialist music shows to showcase and represent her eclectic musical taste that can span from anything experimental and electronic, to garage and house. Most recently she took over the UKG Show through the month of February for the XtraTalent Residency bringing exclusives from the likes of ZED BIAS, PALEMAN, MAK & PASTEMAN, MY NU LENG, FLAVA D & more.

Known for her seamless fast mixing, and high-energy level sets, Madam X’s reputation as a solid DJ is forever growing.

Boat parties went on sale on Monday and over 90% of available tickets were snapped up within the first few hours, with many boats selling out in minutes.

Since his first forays into drum & bass in the late 1990′s as a burgeoning young DJ, there’s no doubt that Kasra has now made an indelible mark on the scene, a mark that continues to grow ever-stronger as his Critical Music empire prospers.

As Critical’s figurehead, the demand for Kasra’s DJ’ing skills has escalated to the point of a schedule that sees him playing regularly every weekend throughout the UK rest of the world. Vienna, Budapest, Shanghai, Beijing, Miami, Berlin and of course his beloved London are just a few of the places that have beared witness to the Critical Sound and the list just keeps getting longer. Quite a feat these days for someone who’s not yet really gone deep into the production process.
