Luke Leadbelly
Luke Leadbelly is a Producer/DJ hailing from Manchester, where he first started to build a name for himself in 2008 on the underground free party scene, playing for sound systems such as GASHcollective, Daylite Robbery & Neuron Pro Audio.
His style of production and live performances vary throughout the elements of 130 to 140bpm, drawing influences greatly from UK Bass music such as Grime, Garage & Dubstep.
Over the past 2 years Luke’s main focus has been learning various production techniques and has been busy concentrating on improving his skills in the field of Mastering as well as continuing to put his own style and take on bass orientated music.
March 2013 saw the debut of Luke Leadbelly’s first 12” vinyl to hit record stores, which was limited to 100 white label copies each individually hand stamped and numbered the release was shared with long time friend Acre who is also playing with us this year at Outlook festival.
Acre and Leadbelly are both residents for the Manchester based collective Project 13 who has recently been making moves towards cementing a name for themselves within the UK by taking part in hosting a range of events and live-stream performances involving some major artists within the scene as well as their roster of talented resident.
Looking ahead of what is in store for Luke Leadbelly you can expect to see a string of releases in the future, which feature collaborations from other up and coming artists from Manchester.
