STAGES AND PARTIES

    The beach, located on the festival campsite, just a few hundred metres down the coast from the Fort is the venue for most of the daytime activities.

    Built in the mid eighteen hundreds, Punta Christo was one of over a dozen forts situated on different peninsulas surrounding the city of Pula.

    Walking through the main entrance you then pass through some arches before heading down some stairs.

    800 capacity Arena 2 is on the opposite side of the fort to arena 1 and again is held within a walled, open top courtyard.

    300 Capacity arched room curving round 180 degrees, this will provide a great area for some newly breaking sounds and well loved rising stars in dancefloor music.

    A circular pit with a Soundsystem in it. Can’t tell whether it reminds us more of something out of The Gladiator or Silence of The Lambs.

    LINEUP: Dub / Reggae / Dancehall

    Headlining Sunday night at this years festival we have called in vetran reggae star – Michael Prophet alongside legendary UK dub outfit – Dub Asante.

    Considered one of the leading producers of dub music’s second generation and instrumental in transitioning dub into the digital age, the Mad Professor has contributed to or produced nearly 200 albums.

    With Macka B’s prescence at Outlook this year we will play host to one of Britain’s most influencial dancehall toasters.

    Iration Steppas are one of the top dubwise outfits in the world, initially starting out as a soundsystem in the 90’s focusing primarily on spinning dubplates before venturing into their own productions.

    Hailing from Scotland, Mungo’s Hi-Fi is Tom Tattersall, Douglas Paine and Craig Macleod.

    The Bush Chemists came about early 1993 as a result of an offshoot project to CENTRY and have since released several albums including Dub Outernational, Money Run Tings and Dubs From Zion Valley before releasing singles on Concious Sounds.

    Born out of boredom by 2 brothers over 30 years ago, Channel One have been making waves wherever they go ever since.

    Gentleman’s Dub Club is a nine-piece band that formed in Leeds in early 2006. With a style based in dub, ska and roots reggae, GDC have burst onto the UK circuit, rocking gigs and festivals up and down the country with their super high energy show.

    Hailing from France, Kanka are influenced by UK and Jamaican dub music.

    O.B.F hail from France and consist of a DJ/Production duo who are also responsible for one of Europe’s most reputable events “DUBQUAKE” in Geneva.

    Dubkasm is a UK and Brazil-based roots reggae/dub outfit from Bristol,
England. Formed in 1994 during the emergence period of the UK ‘digital
dub’ sound, their debut release in 1996 was ‘Chemical Reaction Dub’ on
Nubian Records’ ‘Dub Out West’ compilation series.

    Reggae Heatwave have been smashing dances with their dancehall friendly rhythms.

    Maffi is a Copenhagen based riddim builder team. Since 2008 we’ve teamed up with JAHTARI who’re running our internationally distributed record label MAFFI out of Leipzig, Germany.

    Dancehall reggae soundsystem Firehouse was established May 13 2005 when the three Copenhagen based sounds Miraculix, President Sound and All Prophet merged into a single unit.

    Exodus aka Simon Scott as been a key figure in the Leeds music scene for over 20 years. His work as a promoter with such events as Subdub, Exodus and Outlook festival have gained UK and international status.

    The Balkan Dub Defenders, Digitron sound was established 2007, by Jahstice Sound(igor+robi) and vVki(radikal dub kolektiv) the idea of making first self-build sound system and to play dub, steppers and roots selection on it.

    Reggae Roast has been running since 2007 and has steadily built up a reputation as being one of the most vibrant monthly Reggae events in London

    Without a doubt the two most popular reggae mash-up producers in the world, with remixes of everyone from Blackstreet, Busta Rhymes and Sean Paul to The Gossip, MIA and Deee-Lite conquering dancefloors and DJ’s boxes – Shepdog & Jstar combine well known vocals with classic riddims to create what they call mashment bash-ups.

    A DJ/Producer/Performer from South West London, after only 2 years of being at the controls, he’s played some of the biggest clubs and festivals in and around the UK. With Glastonbury, Latitude Festival, SEone

    Sammy Dreadlocks is a true reggae ambassador and roots educator.

    The Uplifter has been playing out Roots Reggae, Heavyweight Dub and traditional Jamaican Ska music in venues, festivals and outdoor events throughout the UK, Europe as well as touring from New York to New Zealand and many roads in-between since 2003.

    Dj, Sound System Operator and Promoter from Nottingham that as been pushing the dub, roots sound for many years.

    Count Skylarkin stumbled into DJing in the late 90’s after his mixtapes proved a hit with customers at a South London cafe.

    Berlin based Promoter, dj and artist agent. Managing the European branch of Surefire Agency that looks after some of the future thinking dubstep artists such as Scuba, Shackleton, Headhunter and 2562.

    Tim Dub Boy is a dj, promoter & producer from Bristol, who plays a variety of bass heavy, soundsystem music styles. His sets range from karnival house, soca & bashment vibes, to dancehall & rub a dub vibes, to heads down roots & dubstep vibes and everything inbetween!

    Night Owl is a DJ / producer / designer based in East London. Growing up near Brighton, he was immersed in the buzzing drum and bass scene, at nights such as Meltdown and Legends of The Dark Black.

Playing records from the young age of 14, he soon became a regular visitor to Fabriclive, Movement and Andy C’s infamous Ram parties in London.

    This year we have invited the legendary Jungle Drum and Bass DJ – ‘Kenny Ken’ out to the festival.

    Ragga Twins are a jungle group from Hackney, England, composed of London UNITY sound system veteran MCs Deman Rockers and Flinty Badman

    Literally smashing his way onto the scene in 2001, Break has established himself as a somewhat prodigal talent with his debut album ‘Symmetry’ making serious waves within the scene.

    Commix is the lovechild of Cambridge duo Guy Brewer and George Levings, who have torn up dancefloors countrywide for the last 6 years with releases on Hospital Records as well as the mighty Metalheadz Recordings.

    DJ FU is one of the few drum and bass DJ’s, if not the only drum and bass DJ, of recent times that has managed to be recognised purely for his talent on the decks.

    After Playing on the Bristol scene for 4 years and running DIRTY NOTE @ Dojos and Motion for the last year, TRICK E has played among names such as DJ FRESH, LOGISTICS, LEE MORTIMER, MAMPI

    Nottingham based DJ Transit Mafia has been terrorising Drum and Bass dance floors all over Europe for a little while now and we invite him over to Croatia for the first time this year for what is sure to be a power hour.

    ‘Daddy’ SHOCK is a Jungle Drum and Bass dj from Leeds know for his big sets and fantastic record collection.

    As resident for Hit & Run and Soul;ution his “Deep” style of set has been instrumental in creating the warm vibes at the nights.

    Junglist Alliance hail from Sheffield, they are made up from a lethel duo of Dj’s/Producers and Vocalists.

    Croatia born – Rikines is a Jungle Drum and Bass of supreme skill. Last year saw her debut at the festival and anyone that was there will be as excited as we are to see her again this year.

    Hailing from deep within the Leeds mainframe, DJ Lowlife has been performing and promoting his passion for Ragga Jungle for over 10 years now.

    With huge collaborations with Icicle and Proxima creating massive hype getting huge reviews, Nymfo is hot property and proves he is one of the greatest deejays and producers in the scene today.

    With over 600+ dj appearances under his belt since cutting his teeth with the notorious Jungle Terra soundsystem, dj Sinistah is a true jungle vet.

    LINEUP: Dubstep

    Born Oliver Jones in Bromley, London, Skream is at the forefront of the dubstep scene.

    Well well well, we’ve only gone and got the WHOLE DMZ crew out to croatia!

    Co-Founder of legendary night & record label DMZ and one half of dubstep’s most prolific production duo Digital Mystikz.

    Joker is the new kid on the block having defected from the grime scene he was born into, instead opting to produce music with a dubstep flavour.

    2010 is the first year we bring THE BUG out to our bash on the Adriatic which seems  amazing considering his standing in underground music.

    NERO have become a big name in both the Drum and Bass and Dubstep scenes, often fusing both styles of music in their DJ sets. They started with DnB, joining DJ SS’s Formation Records in

    After starting out on pirate radio in london focusing on UK Garage, ‘Plasticman’ taught himself production before receiving his first release of Slimzo’s label early 2002.

    With over 15 years DJ experience under his belt, its fair to say that Croyden’s answer to Moody man Hatcha is one of dub-step’s big players.

    N-type is in high demand the world over with Best Dubstep DJ awards in both 2006 and 2007 under his belt as well as high profile releases on labels such as Dub Police, Tempa & 3.5 Records.

    Loefah is without doubt a bastion of dubstep. A long time ambassador and promoter of the DMZ events alongside Digital Mystikz. He as kept dubstep in it’s purest form with his signature chest rattling sound.

    Alongside Mala, Coki is Digital Mystikz; renowned for taking more of a backseat, his preference of keeping a low profile provides a stark contrast to both his own ‘in your face’ productions and the live mash up of lurching, bass driven wobbles he has built his reputation on subjecting global audiences to.

    As part of the initial South London dubstep innovators, Distance is a genuine pioneer of the scene and coupled with support from legendary Radio One DJs John Peel and Mary Anne Hobbs he has forged a reputation as one of the go to guys for any reputable rave-up.

    Rob Ellis aka Pinch is Bristol’s own Godfather of Bass; renowned for his hard-working personality its no small wonder he is now widely credited as a father figure for the scene.

    Scuba, aka Paul Rose is a Producer/DJ and founder of both London based Hotflush Recordings and Europe’s biggest club night SUB:STANCE

    Shackleton co-runs Skull Disco as well as delving into the production of tunes it isn’t easy to categorize.

    Anti-Social Entertainment’s eclectic representatives Quest & Silkie are the definition of prolific having outed some of the deepest dancefloor bangers of last year.

    Yet again we have invited Tectonic favorite Dave Huismans, better known by his stage name as 2562.

    Rob Smith is the true embodiment of Bristol’s bubbling music scene, having been a fixture within the culture of its forward-thinking sound for the last 30 years.

    OUTLOOK 2010 will see Bristol-based Laurie ‘Appleblim’ Osborne play an exclusive set on the Adriatic.

    Bristol badman Headhunter is a producer & DJ currently signed to Tempa whose style lies somewhere between the bass heavy skankability of Skream and the more glitchy tech-step of Martyn.

    Kromestar is one of the biggest names in the Dubstep scene today, with a number of high profiled releases on some of the most well respected and scene shaping labels in the genre;

    A veteran of the dubstep scene since it’s inception in early 2003, you couldn’t get better credentials for being a dubstep legend than Cyrus.

    As seems to be the standard for a lot of dubstep’s innovators, Walsh is Croydon based and has been part of the scene from day dot.

    Hailed by the likes of N-Type, Skream and Youngsta and even stretching across genres from the number one Drum and Bass DJ Andy C, as one of the scenes best DJ’s, Seven is an artist in high demand both for his DJ skills and production.

    Jack Sparrow has been making waves across Europe with a string of big hitting releases on MRK 1’s Contagious imprint before signing to Pinch’s label ‘Tectonic’, upon which he will release his album in the near future.

    Anyone from Leeds will know where the ‘Hessle’ from Hessle Audio comes from, to the rest of the world it simply means – Excellent music! This years OUTLOOK will see the whole clan: Ramadanman, Ben UFO, Untold and Pangea.

    Ben UFO is co-founder of Hessle Audio, one of the hottest new labels in electronic music today.

    It was at the tender age of 14 that David ‘Ramadanman’ started out his Djing career, initially taking in deep house and hip hop before uncovering an attraction to jungle as he grew older.

    Pangaea is one of the most exciting artists involved in dubstep today. DJ, producer and co-owner of Hessle Audio, his unique take on the modern dubstep sounds fuses elements of house, techno and 2-step garage.

    Owner of Hemlock Recordings with releases on prestigious labels including Hotflush and Hessle Audio and remixes for the likes of Pangaea and Milanese, London based Untold’s unique take on dubstep has already won him an army of fans and admirers.

    MRK1 has been making music for the last 10 years now, starting out making dnb and then progressed into Dubstep/Grime as one of the first producers to pioneer the sound.

    Indigo is an artist that also has an integrity and deepness to his work that guarantees him a long and prosperous career in music.

    Vivek is releativley new to the dubstep dance but his reputation already speaks for itself.

    Wachs Lyrical has been Djing and Producing Dubstep for the past 3 years, based mainly in Leeds and London, and playing at Vagabonds, Some Night, The Bash Out to name a few.

    You’re friendly local neighbourhood fat as fuck rave. Rinsing out darnces in hometown Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield and cumming on the back of a rave near you.

    DJ RUCKPIN has graced the decks at every OUTLOOK to date, in that time he has grown as a producer and DJ now finding himself with a string of UK and European dates under his belt and an impressive discography to his name.

    Synkro, only 20 years of age, had already made a massive impact in both the worlds of Dubstep and Drum’n'Bass

    We are please to once again be having basslaced trio – TRUE TIGER out for the party.

    One of the pioneering DJs of Dubstep, Chefal aka Chef, hails from the home of Dubstep, Croydon, South London, and has been mixing for 14 years

    Connectionist has been rocking the dex since 2007. Starting off in Manchester this Greek bombshell has recently graced her native country ‘s capital – Athens as well as high profile raves all across the North of England.

    Working with big-time dubstep producers on the scene at the moment such as Benga, Joker, Futurecut and Cotti, to name a few, as well as being picked up by Nike, Converse and Bacardi to feature in their campaigns, Goldielocks is proving her unique dubstep/grime/pop sound is catching attention fast.

    Kashii is a Brighton boy reppin the bass heavy movement that is 2-step.

    Tommy Gun has been playing dubstep in Bulgaria since 2004. As of recently he is among the main accomplices in the True Badness alliance, dedicated to the best in the genre and its eventual conquest of Bulgaria.

    Born in the Uk and currently residing in Amsterdam, Loco is a Resident of both Cheeky Monday and Amsterdamaged. Currently with productions in the works and a signing to vibez recordings.

    LINEUP: MCs

    Crazy D alongside SGT Pokes is a stalwart of the scene, holding down residences as far-reaching as the music he spits over.

    Making a breakthrough into the world of the Drum & Bass/Dubstep MC’ing is no small task, yet 28 year-old SP:MC has managed to establish himself as one of the busiest and most innovative on the circuit within the last 5 years.

    Gloucester based Dread MC is fast making a name for himself in both drum & bass and dubstep circles, regularly working alongside DJ Die, Skream, Benga, Redlight, Pinch and Kutz at their own request, as well as frequent sets at the UK’s top club nights including Fabric, Detonate, Bedlam and Run.

    Soom T is the Glaswegian wonder known to many for her eclectic vocal stylings 
and mass collaborations having shared a studio and over 40 record releases 
since 1999…

    Dan Man A.K.A. SUNNY VOICE is a veteran musician and singer with over 20 years in the business. Born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, he migrated to the UK in 1967 at the tender age of 11.

    OUTLOOK resident badman rapper MC GUSTO will once again be gracing our little gathering. An MC/HOST now of considerable note; Gusto is a regular at raves up and down the country as well as an array of radio shows having appeared on the likes of KOOL FM and FORCE.

    Straight out of Zimbabwe but raised in Manchester, Chunky is not your average MC. The host with the most, no one rocks and unites a rave like the Chunkoid.
