MC Rafta

Started to MC at 14 years old, with his first 1st booking in 2003 at the age of 16.
From the ages of 16 to 19 Rafta performed at numerous hard dance events around Yorkshire but had always had a passion for drum and bass so started to chase a career in the scene.
In 2009 he linked up and worked alongside DJs Rocksteady & MC’s Mekar, Gusto & Andlar on the late legendary pirate radio station Force FM, in Essex. A 7 hour round trip for a 1 and half hour radio show on a Monday night, but this helped him progress as an artist working alongside MC’s & DJ’s from London.
January 2010 Rafta decided to enter a competition that was being run by Random Concept, and won! Shortly after the competition DJ Steppa approached Rafta to work alongside him and DJ Kitcha (Northen Lights) as their MC for Live gig’s and radio shows. He has since gone on to play across Europe including Germany, Austria, Croatia & Poland.
2011 saw the start of ‘SY Alliance’ which consists of MistaKay (Kieran M) a 16 year old producer, guitarist, Rapper & MC, Talisman, sparring partner since 2004, Ballistic,Major-Dee (Domer) and Space.
He also became part of ‘Biological Beats’ in 2011. A label run by drum and bass MC Fatman-D. There is an album soon to drop featuring various artists including Fatman-D,Mekar,Boxer-Banton,Kombo,Danja,Double-O + many more.
